With how popular the practice has become, many students have asked me what it means to practice yoga. My answer has always been: to recognize that you are breathing. Though we commonly utilize the physical asana practice to tune into that breath, the awareness, yet non-attachment, to one's mental state, is the true essence of yoga. This means that yoga is, by nature, a lifelong practice and one that can adapt to our current needs. The way you practice yoga can look and feel vastly different from one day to the next. I hope to be a part of that journey for you, meeting you where you are, to empower both physical and mental growth.
